Booking in advance guarantees your departure time, especially for early morning slots. If you arrive without a reservation, you must negotiate with available cooperatives at the malecón.
A standard private boat for up to 6 passengers costs $1,800 to $2,500 MXN. You must also pay the CONANP bracelet fee of $125 to $140 MXN per person.
Local boat tours depart directly from the malecón (waterfront boardwalk) along Calle 14 in the town of Río Lagartos.

The tour was amazing 10/10 would recomend. The tour guide was very nice and explained everything with passion.
Uriel was amazing! He's very empathetic towards nature and animals. His love for Rio Lagartos cannot be measured. He's passionate and loves what he does for living. He took us to a well hidden spot where other commercials tours do not take you. This helped us get an up close view of Flamingos and Crocodiles. I cannot recommend this your enough! It was greatly worth it!
This experience was absolutely incredible. Every place was stunning and it never felt rushed. We enjoyed the pink lakes, had plenty of time to swim at the beach, cruised on the river and loads more. I was so excited to see flamingos, plenty of birds, and even a crocodile! Nice that everything is included in the price. The drive is long but worth it. Would definitely recommend for anyone travelling to the Yucatan.
